The International Guild of Battlefield Guides
The International Guild of Battlefield Guides was formed in 2001 in order to analyse, develop and raise the understanding and practice of battlefield guiding. Presently it has over 300 members, over 50 of whom have formally demonstrated to their peers their competence in their art. The Guild guides that we use are historians, academics or soldiers, both serving and retired. All of them have a passion for military history and their considerable experience has provided them with an intimate knowledge of the topography of Normandy and The Western Front.
