David Buttery
Author and Military Historian
David Buttery worked in newspapers for twenty years before qualifying as a museum professional and working at the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum, Jewry Wall Museum and King Richard III Visitors Centre. He has carried out guide work for museums and run historical tours for a wide range of travel companies. David has made a particular study of the French capital and its close connections with Emperor Napoleon I in his ‘Napoleon’s Paris’ guidebook in addition to publishing titles on the Peninsular War, Crimean War, Napoleonic sites in Britain and the Battle of Waterloo.
