2018 Tour Programme Now On Sale
After months of planning and designing we are delighted to introduce our new brochure for 2017 / 2018, which is packed with over 45 battlefield tours and cultural experiences.
Amongst our new battlefield and historical tours are great new themes and destinations such as The American War of Independence in the north, an 11 day tour exploring 18th century colonial America during its struggle for independence which also visits George Washington’s home at Mount Vernon.
To Mark 100 years since the end of WW1, a special centenary tour will take place in July which explores the Hundred Days Offensive along with a visit to the site of the November armistice signing at Compiegne. This tour will be of particular interest to those with Australian, New Zealand and Canadian interests, and of course those from the British Isles.
We will be running two more American Civil War Tours in 2018, covering the Eastern and Western Theater battles. During the American Civil War more Americans lost their lives than during the whole of WW1 and WW2 combined. An estimated 750,000 – some 2% of the population and the 4 years of battles are explored during these tours.
Another new tour for 2018 will explore the geography of the Holocaust which will journey through Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Guided by professor and author Tim Cole, this tour will show something of the varied experiences of Jews and other victims of Nazi Germany in this region.
More early period tours have also been added to the programme. 2 more tours will depart in 2018 focussing on the Archaeology of the Bay of Naples, Herculaneum & Pompeii and the events of AD79. The 7 day tour includes visits to Stabiae, Oplontisthe and the summit of Mount Vesuvius.
With so many more tours, covering many historical periods, we hope we have presented you with a difficult challenge when it comes to making a final holiday selection.
