We were very pleased with our Doughboy tour. Our guide, Bruce Cherry was knowledgeable, personable and good fun to be with for the five days. Shaun who organised our travel also did a great job. From the time I called their offices to enquire about the trip, they handled all interactions professionally. We would definitely recommend their services and we may choose to join them on another adventure.

Our guide was top notch. He was knowledgeable on Frederick the Great?s battles, personable and could convince you to climb another hill as what was on the other side should not be missed. The tour size was not too large which allowed people to quickly get acquainted. The size also let the group make quick decisions and I think allowed us access to places where a huge busload of people would not as readily be welcomed. CE was clever in that they put two tour managers with the group as no one spoke Czech. This allowed the group to split up for some sites without fear of getting lost. I assume they also did it for safety in case there was an emergency. That would let them leave one guide with the group while the other dealt with the issue. Happy to say, that was not needed on our tour.
The tour itself was well paced out and covered all we wanted to see and more. We definitely plan to take another tour with The Cultural Experience.

Everything was planned to accommodate everyone on the tour--very attentive to everyone. From the very beginning, including registration for the tour to our last train ride, it was very well organized and seamless. It was an exceptional Cultural Experience to see where The Doughboys Turned the Tide in WWI with special interest in our family connections. It was especially significant to this 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. Though our first Cultural Experience, we will definitely consider another history trip/lesson again, as well as, recommend The Cultural Experience to family and friends. Thank you!!

Walking Waterloo Tour

This was our second trip with TCE. Their tours are exceptionally well organised, the booking process very easy and the pre-tour information first class. The tour guides were friendly, always cheerful and had an outstanding knowledge of the subject matter.

My serious complaint is with the dinner food with rare exception consisted of "tourist" packaged food in like restaurants. This needs to be reviewed seriously
as the same thing happened on the Poland tour last year. In the future, this will deter me from booking with The Cultural Experience in the future.

The boutique hotels selected were very good and the breakfasts were nutritious and tasty with a wide variety of fresh food. That was the eating highlight of the on the tour.

Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the tour. Whilst we take all issues seriously, we were surprised to hear that the food on this tour wasn't to your liking. This is the first and only negative thing we have heard about the food on the tour and every other review has been very positive. Having spoken to David, he ensures me that he did everything he could to cater for all of our customers, some customers even said he went above and beyond to help with food choices if it wasn't quite to their liking. We will look at all of the surveys, feefo reviews and comments from the tour manager and tour guide and if required we will make the necessary changes.

This was a fantastic trip which exceeded all my expectations. I had originally planned to do a similar trip on my own but when I saw the itinerary I realised that it would be better to take The Cultural Experience's organised tour. This was the correct choice because the tour took me to places I could not have visited independently. The trip covered all the main areas and battles of the eastern theatre of the American Civil War. The tour guide Fred Hawthorne is an expert in the American Civil War and brought a lifetime's knowledge of the subject, which informed everything he did. The hotels and the coach were excellent and for me t his was the trip of a lifetime.

Tour was well organised and ran efficiently - we arranged our own flights as we were staying on for an extra week in Washington but the link up at the start worked well and the tour bus dropped us at our Arlington hotel at the end. Only four stars as we had to pay our own taxi fare from Dulles to Manassas (another fellow tourist had his taxi fare refunded) and the "14 day tour" is really 12 days of visiting sites, 12 hotel nights, 12 dinners & 12 breakfasts, making the headline description rather exaggerated.
