Sales and Marketing Manager

The Cultural Experience is seeking an ambitious, creative, and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our growth. You’ll take ownership of developing and executing effective, multi-channel marketing strategies—both traditional and digital—to increase brand visibility, drive qualified leads, and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

In this senior role, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to shape the direction of the company. From hands-on execution to high-level strategy, your input will be critical in helping us grow sustainably and successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and motivate a small team of sales consultants and administrators to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve high conversion rates.
  • Marketing Strategy: Create and deliver an integrated marketing plan to increase awareness of our unique travel experiences and generate high-quality leads.
  • Digital Marketing: Manage all digital marketing channels (Google Ads, Bing, SEO, social media, email) and leverage AI tools to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Content & SEO: Optimise website content, structure, and metadata to continually improve SEO and demonstrate EEAT (Expertise, Experience, Authority, and Trustworthiness).
  • Campaign Management: Design and manage targeted print and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Brochure Production: Project-manage the creation and distribution of up to four high-quality travel brochures per year.
  • CRM Implementation: Select and implement a customer relationship management (CRM) system to enhance marketing automation, customer insights, and retention.
  • Partnerships & Revenue Streams: Develop affinity partnerships and introduce ancillary revenue opportunities to diversify and grow income.

About You
Proven experience (5+ years) in a sales and marketing role, ideally within travel, leisure, or a related sector.

  • Strong track record of leading small teams and delivering measurable results.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Google Ads, Bing, Google Analytics, social media).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, creative, data-driven, and customer-focused.
  • A genuine interest in history and cultural travel is a distinct advantage.

Are you an experienced Travel Operations or Product Executive with a passion for luxury travel? Do you have the skills and desire to negotiate and prepare specialist interest holidays for an affluent clientele? If so we want to hear from you!

The Cultural Experience is a highly successful and rapidly growing international special interest tour operator. We offer expertly led historical, archaeological, and military history tours to destinations around the globe.

This year we are experiencing unprecedented growth, with forecasted tours up 100%. To support this expansion, our team has been growing—and will continue to do so—as we build on our strong reputation and ambitious plans for the future.

We are now looking for a Travel Operations or Product Executive to join our Operations team in Four Marks, East Hampshire (near Alton) and be part of this exciting journey.

Key Responsibilities
As an Operations/Product Executive, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiate, organise and approve payment of all logistics: flights, trains, coaches, hotels, restaurants, etc.
  • Produce accurate pre-tour documentation for clients, guides and tour managers.
  • Administer tour budgets.
  • Administer individual client travel requirements.
  • Travel occasionally as tour manager, attend exhibitions and participate in familiarisation trips.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Experience in the travel industry and an understanding of luxury travel clientele.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to avoid unnecessary overtime.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and sales skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).

As a Travel Sales Consultant and Administrator, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • converting enquiries into sales
  • invoicing, bookings administration and ensuring their timely payment
  • responding to incoming and generating outgoing client communications
  • maintaining client databases
  • compiling and production of tour booklets
  • generation and management of pre and post tour correspondence and setting up of client tour apps.
  • Managing the office environment

About You
We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Experience in the travel industry and an understanding of luxury travel clientele.
